Call for Papers

This is a call for papers (CFP) for consideration for publication in African Journal of Management Information System (Afr. J. MIS).
The journal arose after the publication of the 11th volume (Vol. 11, No. 4, December 2018) of its sister journal – African Journal of Computing & ICT, ISSN 2006-1781. The latter journal has been published since 2008. Just as with its sister journal (i.e. Afr. J. Comp. & ICT), Afr. J. MIS is an open access quarterly journal whose overall goal is to promote rapid socio-economic and technological development of Africa, in particular, and the world, in general. This CFP also appears at the News Section (page 74, Item C) of Vol. 11, No. 4, December 2018 edition of Afr. J. Comp. & ICT. The new journal will serve as a supplement to the earlier journal by, among others, allowing more quality papers to be published within the shortest possible time. Please consider submitting your papers for consideration for publication in the journal.
The scope of Afr. J. MIS includes, but is not limited to the following areas: information system, management sciences, information management, information science, information technology, systems science, operations research, telecommunication management, statistical computing, media technology management, educational management, transport management, engineering management, law of MIS, engineering mathematics, construction management etc. The policy of the journal is similar to that of Afr. J. Comp. & ICT, and can be found in https://afrjmis.net/faq. For instance, its Editorial Board is international in outlook and comprises of seasoned scholars in relevant areas. There is no payment of assessment fee by all (potential) authors. The one-time Article Processing Charge of US$100 (NGN25,000.00) is payable after the first around of review, provided a manuscript is adjudged to have a prima facie case. Authors of manuscripts that are rejected at this stage are not required to pay any fee whatsoever. A summary of the review outcome, showing strength and weakness of the manuscript, is sent to all authors after the first round of review.
Four (4) editions of the journal will normally be published in January, April, July and October of every year.  Manuscripts are received on a rolling basis (all year.) through ‘editor.afrjmis@gmail.com‘ (cc: bamidele@aims.ac.za, deleoluwade@yahoo.com).
